Breaking News September 22, 2005 - Customer Service Training Scheduled Melissa Loken, for the Daily Tribune Editor's note: The Daily Tribune will regularly run columns updating Community Progress Initiative activities in local communities. The Small Business Cluster of the Community Progress Initiative is happy to announce an opportunity for quality customer service training to enhance the skills of local employees who work with clients, guests, visitors, shoppers and the general public. With the holiday season fast approaching, we would like to see customer service in the heart of Wisconsin-area be second to none. We invite you to participate in an outstanding workshop Oct. 5, "Customer Service Excellence" led by Joe Constance, a nationally known customer satisfaction specialist. Constance has worked for Dale Carnegie Corp. as an area manager and instructor, owned nine different businesses and employed up to 200 people. He has experienced success and learned from failures, and he will share this with his audience in a fun, relaxed and interactive way. Constance's program takes the best of Disney, Nordstrom and other world class customer service organizations. He adds 20 years of personal experience, sprinkles in extensive research, mixes them together, and the result is a dynamic workshop for our local businesses, organizations and governments. In this half-day workshop, participants will learn: The top 10 service mistakes customers hate; the top 10 service details customers rave about; the magic words they love as well as those they despise; the secrets of seven critical elements to achieving excellence, handling problems and complaints; how to be a fantastic fixer; how to identify, meet and exceed customer expectations; and how to create that "wow" experience and dazzle your customers. There are two sessions to choose from: 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m., both Oct. 5 at the Wood County Courthouse Auditorium. The cost is $59 for Heart of Wisconsin members and $69 for nonmembers. You also are invited to attend the Business Cluster's Entrepreneurial-B2B Club and lunch at noon, free of charge. Please call 423-1830 to register for this program. Melissa Loken is a member of the Small Business Development Cluster. |
