With this in mind, the Small Business Cluster, as part of the Community Progress Initiative, has developed "Building Business Essentials Workshop" to help provide resources and better prepare business owners to overcome challenges and seize opportunities. The workshop is designed for business owners and management personnel to help provide answers to many questions regarding legal issues, budgeting, IT-using technology, leadership skills, capital issues, marketing and human resource benefit issues, to name a few. With the topics being covered, participants will be able to answer questions like: When is it feasible to upgrade the technology? How can I minimize my personal liability by structuring by business differently? How much can I spend on new equipment, wages etc. in 2007? What options are available for raising additional capital in the upcoming year? The workshop will provide the answers to these questions and concerns in addition to providing resources.
