The Rome Connection Committee, organizers of the Taste of Rome, invites you to a birthday party celebrating 150 years for the town of Rome. Experience all the fun this annual event has to offer July 13 and 14 at Veterans Memorial Park, Alpine Village Business Park, town of Rome.

This year's Taste of Rome is bigger and better. Dust off your saddle shoes and get your poodle skirt out, we will be dancing to the oldies -- music by Rumours from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday. In addition, there will be the Oldies Car Cruise-In, beverage tent and to curb your appetite, food vendors Romano's Pizzeria, American Legion Post 442, Sandy's Flour Shop and Pigs 'R' Us will be waiting for you.

Saturday is packed with family fun. The craft fair and nonprofit booths begin at 10 a.m. and go until 4 p.m. Don't miss the parade that starts at 11 a.m. The parade will not only have three bands, it will feature the University of Wisconsin Marching Band and its famous Fifth Quarter.

Test your luck with a game of Bingo from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and casino night from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. There will also be clowns, magicians, face painting, kids' games, 50/50 raffles and music by Jump Ship Blues from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and DJ Brown from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Food, food and more delicious food from Lake Arrowhead, Lake Sherwood Lodge, Romano's Pizzeria, American Legion Post 442, Pritzl's Trading Post, Sandy's Flour Shop, Pigs 'R' Us and Trails End Bar & Grill. Sesquicentennial souvenirs like no others will be offered.
