Cluster Update:

September 18, 2006
The Public Art Group, as part of the Downtown Cluster, has unveiled 5 murals in downtown Wisconsin Rapids. They are continuing to seek more businesses and individuals interested in investing in a mural. Please contact a cluster member below if you are interested. The cluster is working on developing a brochure for the 'murals walk' around downtown Wisconsin Rapids and they are also continuing to work on getting banners for the downtown area.

February 6, 2006
Cluster successfully petitioned the city of Wisconsin Rapids to enact four way stops at the Grand Avenue intersections in the downtown for a trial in August, 2005. This project was done to promote a more pedestrian friendly downtown. The cluster has signed contracts for several murals to be placed in the downtown. The cluster continues to seek more businesses and individuals interested in investing in a mural. They have also developed specific guidelines for the murals to follow. Banners are the next project to be worked on and public art will also be coming to the forefront. Members are also working on the development of the "Centralia Commons."
